Kerala's second-oldest sanctuary

A journey to the Peechi-Vazhani Wildlife Sanctuary will gift you with sights and experiences that you may treasure lifelong.  Located about 20 km East of Thrissur district, the sanctuary is a haven where wildlife thrives. It is rich in biodiversity, with more than 50 different varieties of orchids, rare medicinal plants and more than 25 different animal species. 

Spanning across 124 sq. km, it is a part of the Palapilli-Nelliampathy forests and is situated next to the Chimmini Wildlife Sanctuary. Along with a wide range of boating choices, there are also numerous picnic areas.
