Our Lady of Lourdes Metropolitan Cathedral, a Syro-Malabar Catholic church is well-known for its ornate interior design. The church located in the Thrissur district of Kerala is one of the largest cathedrals in the state. Notably, it houses an underground shrine celebrated for its architectural excellence, attributed to Fr. John Maliekkal. The church has a magnificent Indo-European facade with white towers. Its centenary was marked during Pope John Paul II's historic visit in 1986.
