Enamavu is a place where you can enjoy nature without the clutter of concrete, pollution, or the commotion of a metropolis. Backwaters, a lake, a dam, hills, and verdant fields all add to the beauty of this rural area. It is a lesser-known beauty with abundant flora and picturesque sceneries, located around 20 kilometers from the city of Thrissur. The lake in the village is a result of the water flowing from the Peechi Dam.

The Enamavu kettu or Enamavu bund was constructed across the lake to stop freshwater and saltwater from mixing. It meets the village’s need for safe drinking water. The paddy fields beside the lake make a stunning scene that will enchant anybody who sees them. The greatest way to experience the village and its surroundings is by boat. There are many options available on houseboats, including sunset tours. Cross the waters of Enamavu to make a pit break at Coconut Island, a cozy haven where one can unwind over lunch, write, or read a book.
